RPM on a Weed Wacker is a little different than you may think instead of using RPM's they use cycle's so the fastest Cycle they use in up to a 6-Cycle yet they are hard to find and are not gas efficient if you looking for high RPM's look for a 6-cycle engine that had a peak of RPM at just about 3-4 thousand RPM's but a simpler 4-Cycle Weed Wacker that has a peak at 2.5-3 RPM's will work just about the same as a 6-cycle. The only reson I would need a 6-cycle engine for a weed wacker is if I were going through Thistle or Burr Fields but I would recommend a 4-Cycle engine with a attachment for weed and you should be able to get the same results as the 6-cycle.
