Well, there are two types of stick I can think of, the first would be a stick with which you would shift the transmission from gear to gear. This stick is commonly found sticking up in between the front seats and the dashboard. The stick will generally have a handle that is numbered R, 1, 2, 3, 4 and sometimes 5 or more. The R is for putting the car in reverse, and the numbers allow the car to build up speed. Now, the other type of stick that you might find in a car is a short, stubby piece of wood with duct tape or electrical tape wrapped around one end in order to create a handgrip. Some folks even go so far as to insert a nail or spike into the opposite end. The purpose of this stick is to beat the living crap out of car jackers or poor drivers that anger you on the road. Hope this helps.
