Sticky residue can be removed from painted metal with Goo Gone. Also try a little rubbing alcohol on the spot diluted with some water. Nail polish remover in a diluted form may work as well.

Depending on how much paint is on the painted metal part you should be able to rub the polyurethane off the painted metal with compound and a buffer. It might be better to start by hand rubbing it first rather than firing up a machine that can cut through the paint you are trying to save.

Remove the paint at the point of attachment.
Use Goof Off to soften the glue, then try to rub it off with a rag.
One method to remove permanent marker from steel is to apply rubbing alcohol or acetone to the affected area and scrub with a cloth or sponge. Another option is to use a commercial cleaner specifically designed to remove ink stains from metal surfaces. Make sure to test the solution on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't damage the steel.
If Fevikwik spills on a laptop/mobile screen, painted car body, motorcycle body, spectacle glasses etc. - Keep a small cotton swab soaked in 'Nail Polish Remover'(solvent) on the stain for 5-10 minutes. Avoid using excess solvent. Clean off the softened adhesive by rubbing. For painted car or motorcycle body, first check whether solvent is affecting the paint.
