You need to replace your IAC Valve (Idle Air Control Valve) It's located in the back of Your Intake Manifold.
a acura integras stock d16 makes 300hp at 5500 rpm and 850lbs of torque at 13,300 rpms : ))
well i had that problem with my integra, all i did was change the ecu to a single cam si ecu (PM6) or another ls ecu (Pr4) that should fix the problem
I dont think that your car should be idling that high. I would investigate your IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) in your car to see if may be dirty that might help to get rpms down abit. If that doesnt work then you should check out honda-tech.com for more options. Hope that helps abit.
The Sport button on the shifter for the 1991 Honda Accord is to change the motor so that it will have a little more power. The RPMs should go up by about 500 RPMs.
Sounds like it is your EGR Valve (Exhaust Gas Recirculation). There are clean kits for these valves. When the EGR Valve is going bad your engine rpms will sometimes vary as much as 1 gran up and down. At least it does it on my 91 Acura Integra RS 5-Speed. New they are anywhere from $157 - $225. Pretty easy to replace. Most of the kids I know that have the B18A engine replaced the EGR with a Delete kit. I have not been able to find one yet. The worst part is when the engine stalls it is sometimes hard to restart unless it sits for about 5 minutes and other thing I hated when you are on a hill sometimes would stall out.... Hope this has helped you Pat Wilke
Check your battery, rpm computer controlled.
those are gears that are similar to a triptronic transmission. Allowing you to shift at different shift points for extra power when needed at 4000 rpms or higher. First, run a compression check. If that's not it it could be ignition or injectors.
Have you checked your exhaust system, your catalytic converter may be pluged.
