Try housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose
Drain the water from the cooling system. Remove the water supply line to the thermostat. Remove the thermostat housing bolts. Remove the thermostat. Reverse the process to install the new thermostat.
On a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo, the thermostat is located at the end of the top radiator hose on engine. It is situated under the intake manifold.

Usually in the housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose right in the front of the engine just follow the large radiator hose to the front of the engine
you should find it on the intake manifold just behind where the upper radiator hose attaches to thermostat housing.

The thermostat in a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo V6 LS is located on the driver's side of the motor. It is the lowest part that can be seen bolted to the motor on that side. The location is below the EFI, or Electronic Fuel Injector (carburetor).
