you need to take it too the company you bourght it from because it might b hazardus to you and other drivers
1. Accelerate as normal to shift point. (As marked on speedometer.) 2. Place hand on shifter and shift to desired gear. (DO NOT REST YOUR HAND ON SHIFTER at any other time AS THIS WILL DISENGAGE TRANSMISSION FOR SHIFTING. if the shifter is properly wired up, any presure on the shifter will disengage the transmission.) you remove shifter knob, key on, slighty pull back on lever and lightly rap top of shift lever with soft faced mallet, this will disengage park but you nstill have a problem with shifter or possible brake light switch
OD= Overdrive. There will be a switch to engage/disengage the OD located on the shifter, or on the console in close proximity to the shift lever. It should even have a marking on it.
Depending on your engine in the 2.4 the cable is behind the filler cap for automatic transmittion fluid. then it goes all the ay down the firewall and into the shifter inside the car need to lift up the leather cover under the shifter and the hand brake as well and the you will see the bublle like conector. disengage both and put the replacement cable .
my car does this every once in a while , put shifter in low and press down on the gas peddle if car still won't move light a match and burn it....

dude flashing o/d means problems to your trans check it out No it doesnt. I own a 90 es250 and the o/d flashes when the car is in o/d. There is a small button on the back of the shifter where you can turn it on and off. You might want to look for this button elsewhere if it is not on your shifter.

I have a 2000 buick regal LS I recently found out there is an override for the gear shift, mine is located on the steering column under the steering wheel. There is a small plastic cap, pop it off, then use a screw driver press the button. This worked for me. Good Luck
