Ive had the instrument cluster replaced, so dont go and do that, because your car will still do the same thing. Your BCM (Body Control Module) may need to be replaced, or it is just a bad wiring. There have been problems with the odometer displaying an error but no recalls for it. The instrument panel has to be repaired or replaced to fix the problem.

Yes it will. That happened to my wifes car. The mechanic replaced the pump and it still had the same problem. Replaced the fuel pump regulator and still the same problem. The problem was the ignition switch was shorted and the car thought it was being stolen and shut off the fuel pump. Hope it helps!

My 1998 Malibu had the same problem. The reason that it is on is because your brake sensor is located in your wheel bearing, and most likely your wheel bearing is worn out. I replaced both front wheel bearings and the ABS light is no longer on.
