To change the head gasket on a 1995 Mazda Protege 1.5, start by disconnecting the battery and draining the coolant. Remove the intake and exhaust manifolds, timing belt, and cylinder head bolts in the correct sequence. Replace the old gasket with a new one, ensuring the surfaces are clean, and then reassemble the engine by reversing the disassembly steps, ensuring all connections are secure. Finally, refill the coolant and check for leaks before starting the engine.
