A clicking noise, when accelerating, can be caused by a worn CV joint. The CV joint can cause the axle to collapse when it breaks.

No answer for you - just want to state that our 2002 Caravan recently (7/09) starting making a load clicking noise when it is turned on. Belt looks good. I'm guessing its the compressor or clutch.

a "knocking" noise could be your lifters. and the ticking when accelerating and letting out of the gas is the same thing. check your oil and if it's full then you may need to think about either having them adjusted, or getting new ones. depending on what you have depends on whether or not you wanna sell it
