No but the car should be at normat operatin temp
The dipstick is located at the top of the trans, some models it pulls out but most have to unscrew it. Vehicle should be not running, Answer: A Honda-what? What model? What year? Automatic or manual? The dipstick is located down low, on the front left side of 1990s Accords with automatics. Check with the engine running.
All vehicles have to be running in park and warm before getting a correct reading of the trans. fluid.
Did you install Honda fluid? If not then you need to drain it again and install genuine Honda fluid. Honda uses a special fluid and the use of any other fluid will cause shifting problems. One other point is that Hondas are a little different on how you check the fluid. Since an over-filled transmission will go bad, you'll want remember these two important steps: First, the easiest way is to check your Honda's transmission fluid is when the engine is cold & not running. Never check & adjust the fluid level when the engine is running & the transmission is hot. . .you'll over-fill it. Second, push the dipstick down into the lock position when checking: if you don
You cant check the transmission fluid yourself , you have to take it to a shop and get them to check it . It doesn't have a stick , it has two things on the trans ,one to check the fluid and one to drain it ..
no you can not, and don't put any fluid other than original Honda fluid in the trans. Check your owners manual and make sure you get the correct fluid
For most automatics yes. (some in Park, some in nuetral). Not on a Honda Accord IN PARK- ENGIN OFF- TRANS. COLD Depends on make and model
Dipstick! Honda does things different from every other brand of car...as anyone who's ever noticed that Honda puts its four-cylinder engines on the other side of the car from every other brand. And so it is with checking the transmission fluid, and in this case Honda got it right. On a Honda, transmission fluid is checked with the engine off--as opposed to every other car, where you check it when the engine's running.
In the same hole you check it in with a funnel you add it to the same hole you check it with .only in automatic trans
hey m8 check your trans fluid as i had the same problem there was no trans fluid filled it up and away it went
Check your trans fluid with the engine running, if it is full you need more diagnosis...
Check the fluid level first, it may be low or empty.
there is RED CAP on the fill hole it will say TRANS FLUID there is a bolt on passenger side you will remove then check while running to see if fluid runs out. pain to do ..
