Yes, the throttle switch on a 1982 280ZX Turbo typically has two pins inside it. This switch is part of the fuel injection system and is designed to signal the engine control unit (ECU) when the throttle is in the closed position, helping to manage fuel delivery. If you're troubleshooting or replacing the switch, make sure to check for continuity and proper operation.
YES, it will fit all right, what changes is the engine to turbo to non turbo but all the bolt and guides will fit perfectly
The 1981 Nissan 280ZX was available without a turbo (NA) and with a turbo. With the turbo Nissan only offered an automatic transmission for this year. It was the first year for the Z series to have a turbo.
No it will not bolt up.
head torque is 55lbs for turbo
My 82 280zx turbo shows 650rpm on the decal under the hood...
between 145 and 182
a 280zx come with either a 2.8 liter Inline 6cyl or a 2.8 liter Inline 6cyl turbo.
There is no 1986 280zx. If it's a 1986 300zx then yes, but if you don't know enough about your car to know what model it is, you probably shouldn't be turboing it.
I have a pair of 1980 280zx's 1 is stock 1 has a 60mm throttle body and I get average 29 mpg and 27 mpg the 1981 is the same L28 engine so should be about the same unless its a Turbo then I dont know and 1981 is the first year of the Turbo option Arturo Checking my mpg many times for several years on my 1981 280ZX, I averaged 23.7 MPG. With the cruise control on 55MPH, I never approached getting 25MPG even when driving 100% on the highway. I don't believe the above poster, Arturo, is getting even 27MPG with his 1980 models, let alone 29MPG. I consider the 29MPG ridiculous. And no, I didn't have the "turbo option" on my 280ZX that Arturo mentions. Curtis
idle air control valve needs work. either clean it inside and out or replace it. could also be the maf sensor
Kick down on a Turbo 400 is a little single wire electric solenoid right behind the valve body inside the transmission. The switch to engage it is either mounted on the carburetor/fuel injection throttle linkage or mounted under the dash next to/above the gas pedal.
