I would lilke to ask you more questions --but It sounds llike a brake booster that leaks vacuum so when the engine is off there is no assist so the pedal feels hard (but truly if you were rolling and tried to stop the govenor of California couldn't stop the car)
Generally this problem needs more info to figure out
Have a helper pump the brakes a few times and hold pressure, reach behind the wheel you need to bleed and release the bleed screw, fluid or air should come out. Repeat this until no more air is released and repeat for the other wheels
You bleed the rear brakes the same way you bleed the front brakes. If you can't get brake fluid to come out the rear bleeders you may have a faulty master cylinder or the master was allowed to empty out the reservoir that feeds the rear and now it is air bound. Removing the master cylinder and bench bleeding the master may be what you need to do and don't let the reservoir go dry!
remove the brake cap and start the car... let it run for about 10-15 seconds the have soome body mash the brakes and you will see little bubbles come out . keep repeating intill the brake becomes firm.
same way you do cars fill up reservoir with fluid and start at top banjo bolt squeeze in lever and crack bolt still holding lever in fluid should come out or air repeat in tell no air comes out then move down to caliber banjo and then caliber bleed
If it comes on when you step on the brake pedal you might need to bleed your brakes. Also check your brake fluid in the master cylinder.
Yes, the brakes where designed to be bleed before street aplication
i dont have any rear brakes, i just bought 325 polaris and filled up small resovior near rear tire, but cannot get and fluid to come out at rear tire bleeder? thx
same way as non abs start from the furthest wheel from master cylinder which is r/rear then l/rear the r/ front then/l front make sure car is running because it has a electric brake booster, bleed until no more air and cleen fliud come from each wheel of order I described
puss will come out you want bleed
If you are following the proper procedures then the fluid will come out. Have someone pump and hold the brake pedal down, open the bleed screw on the caliper, pressure will force the fluid and air out.
It already came out. Start with the Rainbow Fairies that started it all.
you may have air in the brake line. bleed all the brakes. if the light still comes on intermittently go next to bleeding the line at the master cylinder.
