how do i reset the sensor on the instrument cluster on a 1984 corvett?
It's fortunately not too hard. 1) Adjust the steering wheel all the way out and down 2) Lift vertically the U-shaped molding covering the accordion molding behind the steering wheel 3) Unscrew the two screws holding in the instrument cluster. 4) Pull the instrument cluster straight toward you 5) Carefully disconnect the harnesses in the back of the instrument cluster 6) Remove instrument cluster 7) Swap out the bulb (its not a standard T5 wedge bulb, you have to get them from the dealer) 8) Re-assemble
Check fuses
The blower motor on a 96 Accord is behind the glovebox. You need to remove the door to the glovebox and the glovebox frame from the dashboard to get to the motor.
To reset the dash cluster in a '96 Pontiac Grand Am remove both battery cables for 30 seconds. Wait for the theft lock icon to disappear then turn the car back on. The dash cluster should reset.
If it is anything like the older versions IE 95, 96 neons, you may have cold solders on the back of the instrument cluster where the connections are made. To fix what you do is remove the instrument cluster (pop the cover and unscrew the cluster) put it on a bench face down you will need to unscrew the printed circuit board off of the instrument cluster, and take a soldering iron and heat the solders opposite the connectors until they melt than let them cool and reinstall it back in the vehicle. This should solve your problem it did mine on a 95 & 96 neons. There is a good description of where to solder the board on this page, type it in and see: http://www.neons.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=18

On a 92-96 Ford F series it is located to the right of the headlight switch, too the left of the instrument cluster.
In my 96 you have to pull the instrument cluster out and get to them from the back. I have done this many times on my '96: * disconnect the battery. * Remove the headlight knob. This is done by pusing on a key tab with a small screwdriver. The key is located in the shaft of the knob. It is fairly obvious to see, as a slot is cut to get to it. IIRC you push it twards the dash. * Remove the dash panel. On my 96 there are two long narrow plastic covers on either side of the column. Pry them out with a screwdriver to reveal the mounting screws. Remove the screws and the resto of the dash should snap out. * Remove the instrument cluster itself. There are 4 screws around the perimiter on my 96 that holds it in place. * To replace bulbs you shouldn't have to disconnect the wiring harnesses. On the back you will see a number of black caps. These are the light bases. They hold in place with bayonnet fittings. Twist them and they should come out with the bulb. * Replace the instrument cluster. Temporarily reconnect anything electrical you disconnected to remove the dash (fuel tank selector switch) amd reconnect the battery. Put the key in run and make sure all the lights and gauges still work. * If all the lights and gauges still work, replace the dash face. * Replace the headlight knob ny pushing it back onto the shaft.
