ther is no longer adjusustments on most cafs today,if your car is making a squelling noise when you hit the gas pedal , it is either your belt streached out or your idler puller going bad , which means it it getting weak ,it has a spring tension on it and it wears out , the best thing to do is replace th belt , and if that does not work or does no last long change the idler pully some cars are easier to replace than others , they are pretty cheap too ,hope this helps
you dont adjust the pulley you move the compressor, there are two bolts you loosen then an adjustment bolt you screw it or out to move the compressor retighten all bolts and recheck tension
You'll find an idler/tensioner pulley, which rides on an adjustable arm. First you have to loosen the locknut(14mm?) of the pulley , then tighten/loosen the adjuster rod (8mm?) to adjust the belt tension. Afterwards, tighten the locknut.
The alternator is rotated on it's pivot to adjust belt tension.
Apply a wrench to the center bolt on the pully and turn it will adjust the tension.
you dont adjust a tension pulley you adjust the position of the compressor to tighten the belt
To change the power steering belt on a 1998 Nissan 200SX, start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for safety. Loosen the tensioner bolt and adjust the tensioner to relieve tension on the belt. Remove the old belt from the pulleys and install the new belt, ensuring it is properly seated. Finally, adjust the tensioner to achieve the correct belt tension, re-tighten the bolts, and reconnect the battery.

Adjust it.
To properly adjust the fixed gear chain tension on your bicycle, you can loosen the rear wheel nuts, move the wheel back or forth to adjust tension, and then tighten the nuts securely. Check that the chain is straight and has proper tension for smooth riding.
Loosen the alternator tensioner bolt. You will be able to slide the alternator either way to adjust the tension on the belt.
how to adjust headlite on 1995 nissian pickup
To adjust the air conditioning drive belt on a Nissan 4.2 diesel engine, first, locate the belt tensioner and loosen the tensioner bolt. Then, adjust the position of the tensioner to achieve the desired belt tension, ensuring there is about a half-inch of deflection when pressing down on the belt at its longest span. Once the desired tension is achieved, retighten the tensioner bolt and check the belt alignment. Finally, start the engine to verify that the belt operates smoothly without slipping.
