To change the front axle on a Hyundai Elantra, first, safely lift and secure the vehicle on jack stands, then remove the front wheel. Disconnect the axle from the wheel hub by removing the axle nut and any retaining bolts. Next, detach the other end of the axle from the transmission or differential, typically requiring the removal of additional bolts or a retaining clip. Finally, install the new axle by reversing the disassembly process, ensuring all components are securely fastened before lowering the vehicle.
The Hyundai Elantra typically has two axle sets, as it is a front-wheel-drive vehicle. This configuration includes one front axle set and one rear axle set. Each axle set consists of two axles, one for each wheel on that end of the vehicle.

A clicking sound coming from the front end indicates there is something wrong with the axle on that side of the front end and that it might fail. When the clicking sound becomes very audible, have the axle checked. It might cost about $250 to replace the axle. The "axle" is not the type of axle that goes all the way across the car from one wheel to the other. It is only a joint between the front wheel on that side and the steering mechanism.
In the 2003 Hyundai Elantra, the fuel filter is typically located along the fuel line underneath the vehicle, near the fuel tank. It can be found mounted on the chassis or near the rear axle. For easier access, it's often recommended to lift the vehicle securely. Always consult the owner's manual or a repair guide for specific details related to your vehicle.

You can use a large breaker bar which you probably already have. I know I have broke whrenches trying to get axle nuts off. Your best bet is a impact wrench. They are pretty cheap at Harbor Freight but you will need an air compressor also. Hope this helps!
To change the front axle on a Chevy Aveo, first, raise the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Remove the wheel and brake components, then disconnect the axle from the hub by taking out the axle nut. After that, detach the axle from the transmission by removing any retaining bolts or clips, and pull the axle out of the hub and transmission. Install the new axle by reversing these steps, ensuring all bolts are properly torqued.
