To change the struts on a 1999 Infiniti QX4, start by safely lifting the vehicle and removing the front wheels. Then, detach the strut assembly by removing the bolts connecting it to the steering knuckle and the upper strut mount, which is accessible from the engine bay. Once the old strut is removed, install the new strut by reversing the process, ensuring all bolts are torqued to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, reattach the wheels and lower the vehicle to the ground.
