The B2600i does not have a pickup coil, it uses a hall effect sensor located inside the distributor to trigger spark. K6 Mazdatruckin.com
check the pickup coil. that was the prob
start with checking the coil packs wires sparkplugs
No input voltage to the coil or the coil is bad. Check the distributor for issues and the wires.
I have a Mazda B2000, 1986. Two items, the "ignitor" and the "pickup coil" inside the distributor are the next items to check. Ignitor is more likely to go bad. It can be checked at Autozone for free, maybe other stores as well. pickup coil can be checked with ohm meter. If not shorted or open, it should be OK. I have fixed this before, but now I have it again and I checked all of the above and still no solution. From what I have read, the vehicle has an "ECU" (computer) that can also cause this problem.
Check coil pack.
check your ignition coil, if it's not coming out of there you need to look into a new ignition coil , check ignition circuit next
It could be the ICM or the pickup module.
check your rotor & pickup coil
Check the pickup inside the distributor and see if its OK. Do you have spark at the ignition coil? Check the wires. Or the cap and rotor assy.
try to get a new ignition rotor
u have to pull the whole distributer to change the pickup coil
