Try swapping it with the driver's side switch
Check the drivers side switch panel for the switch that locks out the passenger windows from working, make sure it is not on.
To check the driver side power window switch on a 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette, first ensure the vehicle is in the "On" position without starting the engine. Use a multimeter to test the switch by disconnecting the switch connector and checking for continuity across the switch terminals when the switch is pressed in both directions. If there’s no continuity, the switch may be faulty and should be replaced. Additionally, inspect the wiring for any damage that could affect the switch's operation.
Check to see if you are getting power to the motor if so window motor is defective Could be open wire usually in the door jamb area
I would replace the master window switch
First, check to see if you hear anything when you try the window switch, if nothing and the other window works probably the window switch. Could also be the motor but try the switch first, it's a lot cheaper.
had same problem; check switch on driver side ., if it operates the passenger side ok, then just replace the driver side window switch .. $20 part from the dealer.
check for broken wires in the door and check for pawer across the switch drive safe
check your window lock switch on the drivers door control panel. That is the case with my 1990 works when it wants to.
NOTE: Anytime the battery terminal has been disconnected, please initialize the driver's door power window and front passenger's door power window after reconnecting the battery terminal. With ignition switch in the "ON" position, do the following: 1. Push down and hold the driver's door power window switch to completely open the window. 2. Pull and hold up the driver's door power window switch until the window closes. Continue holding the switch for approximately one second until the switch changes from blinking to a constant illumination. 3. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch open and close" function by fully pushing the switch briefly to the "DOWN" and "UP" positions. At this time the power window switch for the passenger's door window should be blinking. 4. Push down and hold the passenger's door power window switch to completely open the window. 5. Check the fuse and if it is good then you will have to do some troubleshooting. Can be a bad switch or bad motor.
Check the fuse box for blown fuses.
Bad switch or motor on other window Check to see if you are getting power to it - if so bad motor - if not maybe bad switch or open in wiring circuit
