To fill the automatic transmission fluid on a 2000 Isuzu Amigo, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is warm. Remove the transmission dipstick, clean it, and reinsert it to check the fluid level. If it’s low, use a funnel to add the recommended type of automatic transmission fluid through the dipstick tube until it reaches the proper level. Be careful not to overfill, and always check for leaks after filling.

If you don't use the proper fluid, it will burn up your transmission in a matter of a day. You cannot use regular automatic transmission fluid or a petroleum based fluid like Dexron in the NQR or NPR trucks built after late 2007.This fluid is not expensive at all, it costs about the same as Dexron.
