IF the system is the same as the Mazda pickups and Mazda Navajo, HeaterTreater has a product that will fix the problem. Mazda diagrams are hard to come by. If you check the pictures on the Ebay listing, you should be able to determine if the fix will work.
It depends on what is wrong with them
Check the bulbs - they are double filamented with the smaller being for the stop lights Check the fuse Check the operation of the stop light switch usually at the upper end of the brake pedal under the dash
Replace idle air control valve. 2 10mm bolts and about 15 min. $100.00 at mazda.
Replace it.
could it be the thermostat or the fan itself?
when the engine starts and is warming up the idle is supposed to be at around 1500 rpm but when the engine warms up the idle should drop to between 700 and 1000 rpm. if it doesnt drop then see a mechanic because it is a very complicated fix
The idle is automatic. If the speed is not corect then you have to fix the problem with the idle motor.
take out break peadle, put in reverse and acclerate down busy road, cruise control will take action at some point ( it works i tried it)
To fix this: 1. Loosen the distributor and adv timing by turning it counter-clockwise. and/or 2. Locate idle screw (brass, slotted) next to air intake throttle body and back it out till idle speed increases.

It is your Idle Airflow Censor. It is located behind your air intake manifold by two screws. Take it out and clean it off and it will fix your problem.
