A rediculous amount of effort. There are 3 screws on either side of the center console (the arm rest and stuff) take all 6 screws out and the entire center console should life up and out. Then take out the ashtray, and remove the 3 screws that hold the bracket on. Once you remove that, you should be able to see two little screws far back inside.
