To determine if you have a bad oxygen sensor on a 1992 Lexus LS400, you can look for symptoms such as poor fuel efficiency, rough idling, or a check engine light. Additionally, you can use an OBD-I scanner to check for trouble codes related to the oxygen sensor. If the sensor is malfunctioning, it may also show fluctuating voltage readings when monitored in real-time. It's advisable to replace the sensor if it fails these tests.
When changing out fuses in a car, it is important to know where the fuse box is located. A fuse box in a 99 Lexus ls400 is located in the engine compartment.

Stop by your local AutoZone. They will hook it up to a handheld tester and print out which oxygen sensor is failing.
Look on lexusownersclub.com as I know someone put pictures and description of the job. This is a job that should be done when the timimg belt is replaced since access is difficult. vbd
Have it checked for codes. With out knowing the codes, you won't know what to diagnose.
From what I know (doing my own troubleshooting). It means you need to take it in to get your brake pads replaced.
As far as I know, you have to replace the cluster.
My wife's LS400 has the upgraded $4500 Nakamichi Sound System which was the best they offered. I do not know what the standard model was or if there was an in between model to choose from. Hope this helps.
If the timing belt is broken the vehicle will not start.
I have a 1990 LS400 and I have never heard of a timing reset button. The timing is set by the timing belt and controlled by the computer. Let me know if you find out there is such a thing. vbd
The timing is computer controlled, there is no adjustments. I know this is a little late, but timing could be off because the timing belt is not properly aligned. If the timing belt is installed incorrectly the timing will never be right.
