trying to set up and program 2003 Nissan altima key fob
Just call a mobile automotive locksmith to come to program your Nissan Altima's key. You can also tow your vehicle to a dealership and they will program the key.
For now the car dealership is the only one able to program the Nissan smart key. You can buy the key themselves on Ebay.
You cannot copy it your self you need a locksmith or the dealer to program it.

There is not a location for the key insert in a 2013 Altima. It is stated that the Nissan Altima smart key allows the driver to keep the key in their pocket when unlocking, locking. and starting the vehicle.
Here's the programming procedure: Step 1. Gather up all keys you want to have programmed. Step 2. Drive to a Nissan dealer, have them program your keys. All done.
You MUST take the vehicle to a professional (dealer or locksmith). You cannot just buy a "transponder" key online and program it yourself (like you can for a number of domestic vehicles) for a Nissan. It sucks, it's expensive (about $200 in my case), but that is how it is.
how to program key for nissan x-trail
go to a Nissan dealership and they should be able to help you
I just bought a new 2008 Altima. It has the same smart-key feature. I got 2 keys wit it & bought a 3rd online for a spare. According to Nissan, the only way to program the key is to take it & the car to the dealer so they can program it using 2 computers which takes about 3 hours.
