I bought a remote from some place online (took 2 months to get it, so I won't recomend them) and they sent some instructions with it that didn't work. After some googling I found these instructions that worked.
1. Drivers door open, key removed from ignition switch
2. Within 5 sec insert and remove key from ignition switch twice
3. Within 40 sec close and open driver's door twice
4. Insert and remove key from ignition switch
5. Within 40 sec close and open driver's door twice
6. Insert key into ignition switch and close driver's door
7. Switch ignition ON and OFF once to program a remote transmitter while retaining the original codes. Switch ignition ON and OFF twice to program remote transmitters while erasing the original code. (Three times to check how many remotes are currently registered)
8. Remove key from ignition switch
9. System should now lock and unlock vehicle. Once, twice or five times depending on which mode has been selected. One to four times, slowly, to indicate how many remotes are registered
10. Within 40 sec press and hold remote transmitter's LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together for 1.5 sec and release.
11. Within 3 sec press remote lock button
12. System should now LOCK and UNLOCK vehicle. Once to confirm registration, twice to indicate programming has failed
13. Within 40 sec repeat steps 10-12 to program additional remote transmitters. Up to 4 remote transmitters can be programmed.
14. To exit programming mode open the driver's door
Note: pay careful attention to the timing of the intervals especially in steps 10 and 11. Holding the buttons too long or too short will cause the programming to fail. Multiple attempts might be necessary.

You have to have it done at the dealership.
The best way to put down back window in a Toyota 4Runner is to put it down with the key fob. However, if that does not work, you can utilize the switch on the dash.

How do you program a key fob to a 2003 Chevy Malibu
To program any kind of key fob you have to take it to a dealership.
To program a key fob for a 2004 Chrysler Sebring, start by sitting in the driver's seat and closing all doors. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (without starting the engine) three times within 10 seconds, then turn it back to "Off." Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the key fob while turning the ignition back to "On," then release the "Unlock" button. If successful, the doors will lock and unlock automatically, indicating the fob is programmed.
How do I re program my key fob for renault laguna estate 1997?
You don't. Take the car and the new fob to a caddy dealer or a locksmith who has the equipment to program it.
I tried doing the programing instructions but with no luck. My old keyless was busted and taped together and there was nothing to attach the keys to. I took the outter shell of the new one and took the guts out of the old one and I am back in business)
Check your owners manual. If you don't have one check related link below. You may have to register as a Toyota owner / exc. to be able to get access. Hope this helps
