To bleed the clutch cylinder on a 1998 Nissan Frontier, start by locating the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder. Attach a clear plastic hose to the valve and place the other end in a container to catch fluid. Have an assistant pump the clutch pedal several times, then hold it down while you open the bleeder valve to release air and fluid; close the valve before your assistant releases the pedal. Repeat this process until no air bubbles are visible in the fluid.
Look for leaking fluid at the slave or master cylinder.

Disconnect the hydraulic line from the slave cylinder and remove the mounting bolts to take the cylinder out. Replace any worn seals or the entire slave cylinder if needed, then reassemble everything and bleed the clutch system to remove air from the lines. Finally, check for leaks and ensure proper functionality before lowering the vehicle.
