I believe the problem you are having has to do with removing the cruise control.??? At least that's where I ran into a problem. if this is the problem, carefully slide a knife or similar object between the cruise control buttons and the plastic housing that is behind them. that housing is just a thin plastic cover. Be careful because the cover is thin and is prone to crack. after that is off you will be looking at the other torx screw for the airbag.
