To remove the timing chain on a Datsun 620, first, disconnect the battery and remove any components obstructing access, such as the radiator and front timing cover. Align the timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft to ensure proper timing during reinstallation. Then, remove the tensioner and guide, followed by the chain itself. Finally, carefully take off the sprockets, if necessary, to fully detach the timing chain from the engine.
In the early months of 1972, the Datsun 620, also know as the Yue Loong 753, was released and became popular in Japan, Production of the Datsun 620 ended in 1979.

There is a small "stud" that guides your top gear. Make sure this stud is straight UP. Make sure all studs, including the bottom gear, are straight up. Any timing marks to be straight up.
