The termostat is easy to replace, find the big black hose at the top of the radiator, now follow it back to the engine. where the pipe joins to the engine has 2 or 3 nuts holding it on. undo them and under that is your thermostat. buy a new thermostat and put it in. if you have no money to buy a new one just take it out as the car will run fine with out it unless you live in the snow.
