it's a lot of work, but the sensor is located under the intake manifold. It requires removing the upper half of the intake manifold, the injector rack, the the bottom half of the intake manifold. Remember to release the fuel pressure, drain the coolant and keep track of all your parts. While you have that off, It's best to go ahead and change the plugs.
Ok heres the 411 on it. its a useless sensor its throwing a code P0325. yes its a pain in the *** to replace, but its not doing anything to your engine as far as fuel economy or timing. So in short just let it be. my 2000 frontier has the same problem.
It allows the engine to run with the ignition timing as far advanced as possible. The computer will continue to advance the timing until the knock sensor detects pinging. At that point the computer retards the ignition timing just enough for the pinging to stop.
A knock sensor assures that you're getting as much power and What_does_a_knock_sensor_doas is possible from your engine. yeah i would not listen to that last guy he knows nothing at all
how many gaskets and which ones are needed when you replace the knock sensor on a Nissan frontier w/a 3.3l v6 engine?
Yes
To replace the knock sensor on a 2001 Nissan Frontier, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Then, locate the knock sensor, which is typically found on the engine block. Remove the wiring harness connected to the sensor and unscrew it using a socket wrench. Install the new sensor by reversing the process, making sure to reconnect the wiring harness and reattach the battery terminal.
The knock sensor for most Nissan V6 engines is located directly under the intake manifold. So to replace it, you have to remove the intake manifold. Good Luck.
how can I find exactly ubication for put 2002 nissan frontier supercharged knock sensor?
If just the knock sensor need to be replaced. I would say no more than $150.00
I sould be on top of the block close to the firewall
it means knock sensor sensor 1 circuit high input (bank 1 or single sensor)
I HAVE A 2002 NISSAN FRONTIER 4X4 3.3 L V6 I HAVE KNOW IDEA WERE THE KNOCK SENSOR IS LOCATED The knock sensor on the 3.3l model should be under your intake manifold, which means you will have to remove the upper intake manifold to access it. on 2.4l models, it is located on the side of the engine block.
the Knock sensor is located behind the Harmonic balancer pulley. on the bottom sidethe sensor is $95.00 remove the lock down screw unplug and replace
To replace the knock sensor on a 1999 Nissan Quest, first, disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Then, locate the knock sensor, which is typically situated on the engine block. Remove the electrical connector and unbolt the sensor using the appropriate socket or wrench. Install the new sensor, reconnect the electrical connector, and reattach the battery before starting the engine to check for proper operation.
the knock sensor is located under the intake manifold, with a flash light you can see it however you have to remove the intake manifold to replace the knock sensor , also you will need to replace the intake gasket set as well!
