Presume you are talking about the main Oxy sensor mounted on the front of the front catalytic converter, between where the 2 pipes come together. Best to work on a cold/or cool engine. Raise car onto jackstands (or use car ramps), and work from underneath. Use one of the oxygen sensor removal tools, unscrew old sensor, unthread wires, unplug, then reverse to replace. Tighten until the gasket crushes a bit, keep tightening until effort suddenly increases--stop right there. Plug the sensor wires back into the car socket, and make certain that none of the wires will touch the hot exhaust parts. Note-- your old sensor may be stuck, and the best tool for removal is one looking like a fat crow's foot wrench, with a 3/8 inch socket hole on one side. The sockets which are just deep sockets with a side machined out of them are not strong enough, and likely will not fit into the tight area where Subaru puts the sensor. Try to buy a sensor with the correct Subaru plug already installed, it is far easier to hook up.
http://www.lovehorsepower.com/SubaruDocs/CoolantTempSensor.htmlits a 1995 but same thing
The spark plug gap for a 1995 Subaru Legacy is .044"
I would like to know how to fix my 1995 subaru legacy wagon 5 speed manua transmission, or if anyone knows or have the electrical wiring and electrical diagram for 1995 subaru legacy 5 speed manua transmission ? Thanks
If a bolt is stripped on the windshield wiper on a 1995 Subaru Legacy Wagon, there are two options. A person can go to a salvage yard and purchase new wipers for the vehicle, or they can have the bolt hole tapped for a larger bolt.
it should be right under the stearing wheel. . . that is where mine is in my 1995 Subaru wagon.
There is no such thing as a 1995 subaru outback, the outback package was not offered on a subaru legacy until 1996, you either have a 1996 subaru outback, or you have a 1995 subaru Legacy L or LSI wagon. Both will be covered in most guide books you can pick up at your local autoparts store.
The IAT is located in the air intake duct. First, find the intake air hose, and then follow that to the sensor, which should be located with the mass air flow sensor if it is double?æoverhead cam engine.
I have no clue, but it sounds tricky
SORRY, NO!
From 1995 to 1999.....
To replace the starter on a 1995 automatic Subaru Legacy wagon, first disconnect the negative battery cable. Then, remove the intake duct and any components obstructing access to the starter. Unbolt the starter from its mounting bracket and disconnect the electrical connectors. Finally, install the new starter by reversing the steps, ensuring all connections are secure before reconnecting the battery.
AnswerIf it has a governor it is part of the ECM and it watches the vehicle speed sensor and will cut-off fuel and spark at a level determined by OEM.
