How do I take the oil pan off
The oil pump is on the front of the engine behind the main pulley on the Crankshaft, behind the timing belt.
NOT in the Oil Pan.

you probobly don't want to know... you have to remove the front differential! or you can pull the whole engine...both are equally daunting tasks.

Gear oil (80W90 or similar) is used in the transfer case and differentials.
