how to remove a power steering pulley on a 1997 Nissan altima
To add power steering fluid to a 1993 Nissan Altima, locate the power steering reservoir, which is typically found near the engine, often on the driver's side. The reservoir is usually marked with a cap labeled "Power Steering." Remove the cap, and check the fluid level; if it's low, pour the appropriate type of power steering fluid into the reservoir until it reaches the proper level. Be sure not to overfill it, and replace the cap securely afterward.
I have a 2002 Nissan Altima and under warranty thank god they had to replace the power steering rack and pinion..also have had a new engine and transmission something done with the rear end under recall..car is a lemon...it could have something to do with the rack and pinion not sure how to fix but probably the answer

on the right side of the engine compartment , close to the wall
I have the same problem on my Nissan Altima, it is the antenna motor. Replace it.
Begin by removing the power steering pump belt. Remove the power steering pump hoses. Remove the power steering pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new power steering pump.
Check the power steering fluid to see if it needs to be filled. If not, then you may need a new power steering pump.

To fill the power steering fluid on a 2010 Nissan Altima, locate the power steering fluid reservoir, which is typically found near the front of the engine bay, on the driver's side. The reservoir has a cap labeled "Power Steering" for easy identification. Remove the cap and add the appropriate type of power steering fluid until it reaches the recommended level indicated on the side of the reservoir. Always check the owner's manual for specific fluid requirements and procedures.
