Remove the panel or any screws holding the tail light in place to gain access to the bulb socket. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to release it, then pull out the old bulb and replace it with a new one. Finally, reassemble the tail light assembly and secure the access panel.
If you reach behind the light you can twist and pull removing the light bulb socket. Pull out the light and install a new one and do the reverse to install.
