The starter is located on the back side of the engine. It is located under the intake manifold best reached from under the vehicle. The starter is right above the oil pan and to remove it there are two bolts and a plug. Make sure you remove your negative from battery cable before doing anything with the starter. even touching it. i got shocked so trust me when i say disconnect it. there are two very annoying bolts to get to and to reach them you must remove your air intake. they will be hard to see and get out but once done job becomes quite simple.
I have an original Infinity manual and also a CD-ROM with the 1993 Infinity fully illustrated and it lists both the Mitsubishi and Hitachi. I believe it's okay to use either. The spec design is almost the same! Bob F.

That's the starter relay. Replace the starter.
