Actually, this answer was completely wrong. The starter is on the drivers side, under the air cleaner. You should remove the air filter and its plastic housing and you can see the starter bolted to the engine. There is a very good step by step, with photos, at www.cardomain.com/ride/2076435. Steps for replacing the starter: (1) disconnect the negative and positive cable from the battery and remove it from the car; and then follow the directions in the site I listed. Good luck!
