if i am undestanding your question right, when you reset the computer, like disconnecting battery or reseting check engine light thru OBD2 tool, it takes a mininum of 30 miles to start collecting data and storing it to to do its emission checks. So that is why you here mechanics say drive your car aound 100 miles before testing again. This gives the computer chance to store data.
