It should have a couple of little plastic plugs in it. You need to take a small screwdriver or pen or something stiff and push the center of these plugs inwards. Once you've done that, pull them out and put them aside. Then there's a couple of bolts ( I think 10 or 12mm) that will have to come out. This will allow you access to the assembly. You'll have to reuse the little plastic plugs. Push them out until they protrude from the outer ring and then stick them back in and push the centers back down to the flush position.
From inside the trunk.
See the answer for the 90 model. Should be the same
remove the 2 bolts on the outside of the lense then pull the assembly out.

To change the rear window center brake light on a 1997 Geo Prizm, first, open the trunk and locate the plastic cover or trim panel that conceals the brake light assembly. Remove any screws or clips securing the cover, then gently pull it away to access the brake light. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it, replace the old bulb with a new one, and reassemble everything by reversing the steps. Make sure to test the new bulb before securing the cover completely.
Remove the plastic cover with two clips on the back, "kind of a pain" then remove the two screws on either side of the light casing then just slide the casing out.
Disconnect the four plastic screws holding the plastic plate in the back of the trunk. This exposes the tail and brake lights.
Open trunk, there are 4 wing nuts hold in the light casing. Once wing nuts removed, whole casing comes off from the outside.
Unscrew the brake lights housing and pull out the casing. Follow the electrical wire and unscrew the lights bulbs behind counterclockwise until it pops out . Change the light bulb by pressing in and turning the light bulb out. Put the new one in... Easy....

To change the brake pads on a 1999 Chevy Prizm, first, lift the front of the car and remove the wheel to access the brake assembly. Next, use a socket wrench to remove the caliper bolts and slide the caliper off the rotor, taking care to support it so it doesn't hang by the brake line. Replace the old brake pads with new ones, compress the caliper piston using a C-clamp, and reassemble everything by reversing the steps. Finally, pump the brake pedal a few times to ensure proper seating of the pads before driving.
