change your distributor. its just a part inside there next to the ignition coil
The ignition coil is located under the distributor cap. There are a couple screws holing it in and a couple of wires. Just make sure the battery is diconnected first. Make sure you hook it back up the same way.

if your car don't start in hot weather or after a long run.
A bad ignition coil can cause your 1987 Acura tachometer to quit working. A bad tachometer cable or ground wire can also cause it to quit working.
check your distributor ignition module and go test it...
Acura carries both a crank sensor and some also carry cams sensors which generates current to coil which then distributes power to sparks. Happy to help Greg T
inside of the distributor, just put away the cap and the rotor, and you,ll see a plastic cover ..the ignition coil is there,
did you have a hot spark when you tested for spark ? i did you test the fuel pump pressure ? did you cheak for pulse on the coil to see if you were getting a signal ? i have spark, gas, the fuel pump works great and the coil is getting plenty of signal but it still wont start What was the fuel presure reading ?
take the air filter housing off on left side the ignition coils

Either the coil is bad or the ignition control module is bad.I would think the coil is faulty.
