Four-Wheel Steering (4WS) is a technology that allows all four wheels of a vehicle to turn, enhancing maneuverability and stability. In low-speed situations, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels, reducing the turning radius and improving cornering. At high speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels, providing better stability and control. This system helps improve handling dynamics, particularly in tight spaces and during high-speed driving.
4 wheel steer.
It has a hydraulic clutch
4ws yes, 2ws I believe does as well.
unbolt motor mounts use engine hoist
my 1988 4ws Honda prelude idles low at 600 rpm
4 WIER STEERING Let's make that 4 wheel steering, some Honda Preludes have this feature.
there isn't one....................... do some research
To convert a 5th gen Honda Prelude to four-wheel steering (4WS), you'll need to source a compatible 4WS system, typically from a 4th gen Prelude. This involves installing the rear steering rack, connecting the necessary hydraulic lines, and integrating the control system. Additionally, you'll need to modify the suspension components and ensure proper alignment. Finally, it's crucial to have the system calibrated to ensure optimal performance and safety.
some models did have 4ws,im sure it also cut out at a certain speed.
Precisely 61,520 due to the minimum space capacity of the two door vehicle. They stopped making them in 1999.
Do you have a problem with four-wheel steering on your vehicle; if so, how do you know that? Dash light? Performance issue? Mechanic's analysis?
My '88 Prelude Si 4WS had a short in the steering column. My "guys" pulled wires to a toggle switch that they free-placed in the coin tray. It gets hot . . . But, the running lights/brake lights work independently of the headlights!
