How long spark plugs last depends on the brand of spark plug and the condition of the car. In a well maintained car, some spark plugs will last from 3 to 7 years.
long time
iridium plugs are made to last 100,000 miles
They should last 100,000 miles.
with a 10mm socket remove the two ignition coils and the two spark plug wires, using a 5/8 spark plug socket and one long extension and a ratchet remove the spark plugs and install the new ones
look on the very top of the motor and you will see a long rail them are the spark injectors for your spark plugs. pull them injectors out and you will see your spark plugs.
Because spark plugs on many newer cars are so hard to get at you want them to last as long as possible. You can replace them with standard plugs but if they only last half as long, the labor involved makes that a poor value. I would stick to the platinum plugs. I hope this helps you. Mark Having researched Iridium spark plugs and installed sets in two Gm vehicles I highly recomend using them AC 41-101 is probably the correct one for your vehicle
Spark Plugs do not affect your alternator. As long as your engine is running then it should be charging unless your alternator is bad
you have to through the wheel wells to ge to spark plugs. use a long extenison and a spark scocket with a sweival built on to it. good lock
most spark plugs should be checked and gapped annually. if your spark plugs are used up you should replace them
JUST SPOKE TO FORD 3 YEARS OR 37000 MILES WHICH EVER IS FIRST
to change the spark plugs first take off the plastic cover on top of the motor, the spark plugs are on the center of motor you see two coils on top of the two center spark plugs and two spark plugs wires going to the out side spark plugs you pull the wires off and you need a long socket wrench or a spark plug socket with extension bar to take it off, also you need to pull the coils to replace the center spark plugs they are under the coils. NOTE. this is for a four cylinder engine. excuse my English B. Cerda.
