All Hyundai engines need to be replaced at 60,000 miles. If you want to be even safer to it at 50,000
For the 1.6 engine the interval is 60,000 miles for the belt. bob barnes here..on my old 90 excel, it is a non interference engine. this means if the belt breaks. no internal damage should be done to motor. therefore, milage is usually not rated on that type engine. however, if you replace it yourself, do it before it breaks. they may run about a maximum of 90 thou. miles...beyound that you will get stranded. the 1.5 IS a good little engine.
