About 5 gallons. There were 6 gallons left when the light came on in my 2003 EXL after parking on a hill (i.e. 13.86 gal pumped on the fill-up of a 20 gal tank). Anecdotal reports for other years ranging from 3 to 5 gallons, which is what I'd guess Honda goes with too. On the 03, the gas pump is in the tank so I'd avoid running it dry on a regular basis.
In a 2003 Honda Odyssey, the fuel light typically comes on when there's about 2 to 3 gallons of fuel left in the tank. However, the exact amount can vary based on driving conditions and individual vehicle calibration. It's always a good idea to refuel soon after the light comes on to avoid running out of gas.
what causes the light to come on
The check engine light on a 2003 Honda Accord will be triggered when something on the engine is malfunctioning. To rid the check engine a light the ECU will need to be reset.
You can't reset that light...there is no such thing as a 2002 Honda Element...they didn't come out until 2003.
The light come on when the system detects a problem and sets a trouble code. You should have it diagnosed by a trained technician. The airbag system is not for do it yourselfers.
Yes.
5 gal remaining... according to my local dealer... and that's what I use for planning and it seems right on.
You reset it with an OBD2 scan tool after you repair the problem. If you do not repair the problem it will just come back on.
Airbags: The airbag warning light may come on due to a defective occupant position detection sensor requiring its replacement. It may also come on if a laptop computer is used near the front passenger seat, so this must be avoided. (2003)Ref: http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/2003-to-2007-honda-accord-2.htm
The SRS light refers to the airbag. Take the car down to autozone, or your local mechanic and have them plug it in and read the trouble codes. Then they can tell you what exactly is wrong with it.
