Depends on what's wrong. Bad belt or no belt, about $10.00 to buy the belt, you can put it on yourself. Same with refrigerant, you can buy the cans of pressurized refrigerant at the local parts store. If it's the AC pump, which has to be serviced or replaced by a mechanic, it will cost quite a bit. If the system has a leak and the refrigerant is all gone, again it will take a mechanic to fix it, but for less than replacing the pump. I suggest you take it to a shop, have it diagnosed, get an estimate and figure from there. Whatever you can do yourself will save that much money.
