the G series is a hybrid using an F series block with an H series Vtec Head. There is an article on it in Honda Tuning magazine. Its puts out a little bit more power and torque than a K20A motor and its cheaper to do the swap. The only problem with that is you must know what you are doing.
Oh honey, G23 doesn't stand for gold, it's actually the code for a specific shade of gray in the color system. So if you were hoping to strike it rich with gold, you might need to look elsewhere. But hey, at least now you know your colors!
Yeah, don't bother with the F22A1, it's a lousy engine. The H series heads will bolt directly on however, regardless of if it's DOHC or SOHC. Look up G23, it's a combination of a F23A1 block and a H22 VTEC head. It makes the same power as a K series at 1/3 the price dont even bother just put a b series in it and its a direct mount just change the motor mounts. did it on my civic defentaly worth it
You can do a G22 with your stock motor if you want. The H23 head will bolt up to it (with minor mods, of course). You need to search G23 and figure out everything you need.
It can use both G22 and G23 magazines.
It depends on your intended use, skill level and pocketbook.

The "G23" marking on the back of a gold piece typically indicates the purity of the gold, specifically that it is 23 karats, which translates to approximately 95.83% gold content. In the context of jewelry or coins, this mark helps consumers identify the quality of the gold. Additionally, it may also signify the manufacturer's or designer's mark, providing information about the origin of the piece.

Unless it is an aftermarket barrel, to my knowledge a G23 only comes in .40 S&W. If it is the original barrel, then it depends on the age of the gun. If it's a first or second generation pistol I would estimate between $300 and $400. If it's a third or fourth generation gun then I would say it should be worth about $500. The only way to tell is to have it appraised really, which unless someone sees it, they cannot do.
