yeah its possible...but u have to get intake and exhaust swapped as well
With money, you can do anything you ever dreamed of.
Yes, you can swap a 3000GT twin turbo engine into an Eclipse, as both vehicles share similar platform and drivetrain components due to their Mitsubishi origins. However, the swap requires significant modifications, including custom motor mounts, transmission adjustments, and potentially alterations to the wiring harness and ECU. It's essential to consider the compatibility of components and ensure that the Eclipse's chassis can handle the increased power and weight. Proper planning and mechanical expertise are crucial for a successful installation.
Sure you can with a bottomless check book but why in the world would you wanna do that?
yes.
It is not. The GS is a tranny for an I4, so its not quite wide enough to match up to the V6 block. And if I remember correctly, the 94 manual was a 6-speed. You'd need to get the tranny from a 3rd generation Eclipse GT (I know this works because I did it on my 97) but this only works if you have a SOHC motor, which Mitsubishi didn't put in the 3000GT until 97, but Dodge put it in the Stealth from the beginning. You're probably gonna have to hunt for a Stealth/3000GT parts car.
yes it is
You can try the EDZ 2.4l
Swapping a 3000GT VR4 engine and transmission into a 1999 Eclipse GS is technically possible but would require significant modifications. The two vehicles have different engine mounts, wiring harnesses, and transmission compatibility issues. Extensive custom fabrication, along with adjustments to the drivetrain and possibly the suspension, would be necessary to accommodate the larger engine and its components. Additionally, ensure you consider local regulations regarding engine swaps and emissions compliance.
If its the 2.5, you can swap it for some of the older eclipses and Chrysler sebrings. They use the same engine. (Mitsubishi)
Um... What is an rv26 and why the HELL is it in a supra? Last I checked, Supra's came with either a 7m, a 1jz, or a 2jz. I would hope that a person with your extremely limited knowledge on engines would refrain from attempting an engine swap. BTW I believe the engine you're talking about, an RB26dett, is from a SKYLINE. Learn what the hell you speak of. Thanks.
There were no rear wheel drive 3000gt's made. If you mean swap AWD into the chasis of a front wheel drive model, yes, it can be done. The frames are the same for both, however it is extremely expensive to swap everything, you would be better off buying a VR-4.
Yes, you can swap a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant engine into a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant, but it may require modifications. The two models share similar platforms, but differences in engine management systems, wiring harnesses, and compatibility of components should be considered. It's essential to verify that the engine mounts, transmission compatibility, and other vital components align properly to ensure a successful swap. Consulting with a professional mechanic or automotive specialist is recommended to navigate any potential challenges.
