The Nissan frontier would most likely have their spark plugs down deeper into separate chambers. If it is anything like new ford model trucks you have to locate the wires covering them, about an 8 in extention and a 5/8 in spark plug socket.
your piston rings might be bad
.043 is the correct plug gap my friend
No drain plug. must remove lower radiator hose.
The 1998 Nissan Owners Manual for the vehicle says, 0.039" to 0.043" or 1mm to 1.1mm.
To change the spark plugs in a 1999 Nissan Frontier with a 2.4L engine, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the spark plug wires, taking care to label them for correct reinstallation. Use a spark plug socket to unscrew the old plugs, and then install the new plugs to the manufacturer's specified torque. Finally, reconnect the spark plug wires and the battery terminal.
Don't know if this spec is for all brands, but for Bosch brand, it's .044"
The gap should be 0.043 inch.
