The fuel pump relay on a 1992 Subaru Legacy is just above the internal fuse box. The fuse box is located on the drivers side, under the dash.
not exactly sure if its the same as a 92 subaru svx but if it is then there are 2 screws on the far right and one in the place you put your hand. then lift up and it should come right off.
To fix the Subaru from starting when the temp drops below 32 --- just put new plugs in and us 92 octane fuel. It made a huge difference in our two Foresters.
I was able to find a used 1.8 moter for my 92 Loyale from Spillmans auto body in Iowa.Took me over a year to track on down,unless you want a rebuild.And that's 700-800 bucks.....
