Toyota RAV4's have two (2) O2 sensors.
You have two oxygen sensors in Toyota Rav4, One before the catalytic converter and another after.
The 2003 Toyota RAV4 typically has four oxygen sensors: two upstream (pre-catalytic converter) and two downstream (post-catalytic converter). The upstream sensors monitor the air-fuel mixture, while the downstream sensors check the efficiency of the catalytic converter. However, the exact number may vary depending on the specific engine configuration.
There are two in front on my 1998 Rav4. One on each rail in front, left and right. But, It depends on how many airbags the car has. For example, if there are side air bags as well there will be additional sensors for the side air bags.
The 2.5 has 2 O2 sensors (both on top of the engine) and the 3.5 has 4 O2 sensors (two on top, and two under the car).
In the center of the front dash near the windshield. Two small (1/4" or less) sensors.
There are 4 sensors on the manifoldcoming out of the engine. The highest two are the Air Fuel sensors. You can see them easily from above the engine. One is behind or in a heat shield. There are two more sensors that are lower. These sensors are the oxygen sensors. When ordering you need to know if the sensors are right hand or left hand, don't forget that is from the drivers seat not the way you face them from front of the car.
the rav4 Toyota has four 02 sensors, i would reccommend going to your local Toyota dealer, go to parts dept, and tell the pars guy which bank it is and which sensor because they are not all the same. there is one located on top of the exhaust mainfold, and then one below, and the other two are under the car going through the floor board.
Two. One in manifold and another behind catalytic convertor. Just paid $137.00 for that little baby!!!! OUCH.
On a 2002 Toyota RAV4, the oxygen sensors are located in two main places: one upstream (pre-catalytic converter) and one downstream (post-catalytic converter). The upstream sensor is typically found on the exhaust manifold or just before the catalytic converter, while the downstream sensor is located after the catalytic converter in the exhaust system. Both sensors are essential for monitoring exhaust gases and ensuring optimal engine performance.
There is no bank one and two on my daughter's RAV4 because it is a four cylinder and has only one bank for bank speaks of rows of cylinders. If bank 2 is being used on this RAV4 then it is a misnomer. There may be a sensor on the top and the bottom but they should not be called bank one and bank two.
