In the 1992 Lexus ES300 there is only one cooling fan. The cooling fan is operated hydraulically by fluid from the power steering reservoir. Check for leaks in the rubber hose leading to the cooling fan from the hydraulic fluid reservoir.

There are two cooling fans in the front of your car. Check to see if they are both coming on when it is overheating.
