I had this problem on my disco 1. Turned out to be the alternator, which was replaced and the problem was fixed.
I had the same problem on my '99 Hyundai Sonata GLS. It was the alternator. It costs about $170 and it's about $150 to take it to Car-X and have them install it.
I have the same problem with my 2003 along with many others. There is a whole thread on this issue some say changing the battery is the cheapest first step and or check the battery connection for corrosion. Some say replace the ignition switch as GM replaced the switch on 2004+ models. Could also be the starter solenoid. I wish there was an answer here already.
A person will have no power to the ignition when the key is turned over when the battery is dead or the ignition switch is defective. Each component must be tested to rule them out as a problem.
There could be several reasons why your Hyundai Atos engine is still running even though you have switched the ignition off. It could be a wiring problem in the engine. You will need to take the vehicle to a licensed mechanic.
Very likely an alternator problem; if the alt is not working soon the battery would be drained and the truck would shut off.
